Friday Foto Friends #48

Anyone that knows me, knows my love for trains and seeing empty tracks at different times and seasons brings out the awe and wonder in me. There is something about those empty tracks that are beautiful besides being forlorn and lonely. I can almost hear the distant whistle and rumbling train coming down these lonely lines. You can find beauty in almost anything in this world if you only look for it.

The Empty Track of Mt. Pocono, Penn.

The Rails and Rainbow of Nashville, Tenn.

  3. Those are beautiful pics and I think my husband and I have some kind of love for trains, too as we have taken a few train vacations. Your words remind me of that Hank Williams song. So is there a train ride through the Pocono Mountains? I would love to see them.

  4. Oh, my, those pictures are awesome. I especially love the last one. It's been many years since I was on a train. When I was a little girl and visited my grandparents (paternal), there were train tracks right behind their house and I got warned many times to not go back there....fear I would get run over by a train. Sometimes where we live now I can hear the whistle from several miles away from trains going down those same tracks....always brings back a sweet memory. Thanks so much for sharing!
