Day Dreaming Thoughts

Today and how it's been the past two weeks not having much going on and not much to really blog about. The past three days we have broken weather temps with way above average warmth. This will all change by tonight when we drop at least 30-35 degrees back to normal weather for the next week. But this warmth has me day dreaming about my morning walks when I was able to. So here is my day dreaming in poetry.

My Morning Walk

Walking slowly on the bridge across the bay
Letting the sun's warming rays caress my face
I stop to enjoy the beauty of this pretty day
It is such a peaceful and soul filling place

I turn to continue my walk across the bay
Taking in the quiet of this wonderful scene
Sun rays in the water ripple round and play
A feeling of happiness yet joyfully serene

Continuing walking on across the bay
The sun's warm rays still tickle my face
Enjoying the beauty of this lovely day
Truly a peaceful and soul filling place

Now reaching the end of my morning walk
Soon I'll be joining the busy day ahead
Knowing this peaceful feeling will remain
And happy and thankful I got out of bed.

Today I'm looking forward to getting my new journal to start placing daily bible verses and thoughts. I haven't used a journal in years and now I'm ready to write with a pen instead of a keyboard. That's about it for now and until next time dear friends have a day of blessings.

  2. I have been enjoying the warmer temps and having the backdoor open---airing out the house...sad to say, tomorrow will be back, indeed, to normal temps, sigh...smiles.

Hope your day is a beautiful one, friend.

  4. Glad to see a new poem from you. This walkway across the bay reminds me of when we went to Cape Cod a while ago. Also, yesterday we drove around Pauley's Island and many of the homes have these long wooden piers over the marsh waterway to the ocean. None of them was as nice as the one in your picture. So many of them were damaged by the hurricane in the fall.

    1. I love those kind of walkways and yes I remember the one in Cape Cod too. How sad it must have been to see the damage by the hurricane.

  6. Such a lovely poem...and the picture of the walkway...did you paint it? you are a multi-gifted lady! Thank you for sharing your talents with us. I am blessed by your words and thoughts today. Also, the fact that you are going to start writing in a journal...that is something that I've been getting back into with my Secret Garden Chronicles...hand writing before putting in the blog...and it has been a good discipline for me. I used to journal a lot before I started writing my blog online, and that kind of became my journal...but I think we need to stay in practice in writing our thoughts down on paper for future generations.

  7. Hi Toni, enjoyed your poem today. I am sure you will enjoy your journal. I am loving my Bible journaling. Have you seen the pictures I have posted at my blog? I am going to start saving my blog posting from my years of homework. I need to scrap them and then take them down. Not sure if I am going to keep my site another year. I have visited many of Melanie's friends and left them comments and get no replies except for a couple. I guess they do not understand my blog format. Enjoy your weekend. Hugs
