Friday Foto Friends #66 Abandoned And Lonely

Ever feel sad when seeing lonely unused buildings? I know I do. Here are a couple of them. One in the Adirondacks, NY and one here in my area.

Abandoned little church in the woods in Adirondack Park NY. A sad sight for sure.

Unused railroad building along the train tracks south of lower Main Street In Germantown, NY taken by a local resident.

  1. Yes, I do feel sad. Wonder about the people that lived there or went to church there, if they gave up or got a new building or a new home! Sad!

  2. I love old buildings and they can make me very melancholy. They hold many memories of people I'll never know. I always think...if only walls could talk.

  3. I love that old log church...that must be really old!! Really beautiful...and yes, sad it's no longer in use, but just think of the happy memories of the saints of old were spent in that old church long ago...they are now singing God's praises in heaven!!! Great pictures. Thank you. Hope you are staying safe and warm inside!!

  4. I love old buildings but feel the same way... it's sad to see them sitting stranded. Oh, the stories they could tell. These black and white fotos are great. Thanks for sharing. Hope you have a great weekend!
