Lazy Morning Thoughts

Today and how it's been the past two weeks not having much going on and not much to really blog about, I'm sitting in the early morning with everything quiet and just finished making coffee. So, with this picture in mind I thought I'd write what I'm doing in poetry.

My Morning Hug

Sitting here with coffee in hand
In the early morning light
Thinking where today I stand
And what will be in my sight

I contemplate on my things to do
And where I should start the day
I think that things are very few
So not much seems to be in play

Now I'll just enjoy and drink
The coffee calling in my mug
And just relax and do not think
And give myself a morning hug.

I'll probably spend the rest of the day reading and puttering around my apartment. Until next time dear friends have a day of blessings.

  1. I hear ya...well...we can trade spaces and you can do my Stats homework, giggling. Not much else to talk about but the foul weather. (more giggles)

  2. Great poem, seems like it's talking just to me! I really like the saying on the mug too...I need to see if I can find one for myself!! Have a great day.

  3. I love to read your poetry, Toni Thank you that you share it with us. I thought you would say you have been too busy digging out from all that snow! Have a blessed day.

    1. LOL! Living in an apartment complex for seniors, I don't have to do the digging. Thank goodness!

  4. Thank you all so much for liking my poetry. I love writing and have ever since I was a child and mostly I love sharing with all of you. Thanks again.

  5. Love this little poem!! You are very creative! I can't rhyme with a dime! LOL. That's about as good as it gets. Thank you for sharing this "gift" with us today!!!

  6. Nice poem. I love it, your mug is do cute!

I so look forward to your comment as I appreciate your visit here. Today and always, I am thankful for your warm welcome and for being a friend to me. I would thank you from the bottom of my heart, but for you dear friends, my heart has no bottom.
