Hudson River Cruise

It was a perfect day spent with my sister and perfect weather. First brunch at our favorite diner George & Sons in Hudson, NY, then down to the river where we took a 1:00pm boat called The Hudson Spirit for a two hour ride on the Hudson. Here are some photos with views of going under the Rip Van Winkle Bridge, the Hudson Athens Lighthouse and a couple of other river sights along the river to show Fall colors are starting to appear. Click on photos to see them larger.

  2. That must have been a very nice experience! I remember when I was a girl going with my mother on a day trip with a woman's group she belonged to. We went on a cruise of the Hudson River and saw mansions on the banks of the river. Lovely. Later, we went to a very fancy restaurant to eat. I wore nylon stockings for the first time and felt very grown up! Thanks for sharing about your cruise.

  3. What a great day that had to be! Upstate is so gorgeous and the views along the Hudson are just beautiful. I am happy you had a great day dear friend.
I am longing for a trip to Lake Placid, a place I dearly love. I want to get to Malone as well to see the Wilder Farm.
Happy first day of Autumn Toni!

  4. How wonderful! Sounds like a fun and happy trip! We took a little journey on the river this week too...the St. John's in Florida. I will post more about that in my Friday Foto blog. So happy for you to be in the hopefully cooler north where the first day of fall may actually look a little like fall! Please send us a little fall weather, okay? Thank you for sharing. Enjoy the rest of your trip.
