Sunday Stealing ~ The Phone and Pancakes

Linking in with Sunday Stealing for today as I haven't done this one in awhile and I like this week's meme. This one is titled,
"The Phone and Pancakes".

Phone...

1. Your phone rings. Who is the most likely caller?  My daughter mostly.
2. How long do you chat on the phone each day?  Not long as I'm not a phone person.
3. Who do you speak to the most?  My daughter, my sisters and my grandson
4. Do you often not answer if a certain person comes up on your caller id?  On my cellphone yes to anyone not on my callers list.
5. Do you phone friends at work?  None of my friends still work, when they did I never called them at work.
6. Do you make personal calls at work?  I'm retired quite a few years. 😊
7. Who do you always say “I love you” at the end of the call?  Every family member. We never hang up without saying I love you.
8. Do you use a landline or cell more often?  Cell for texts and long distance and my unlisted personal landline just for family members.
9. Who in the blogosphere that you haven’t chatted with but would like to?  In today's world I chat with my blogging friends on Facebook. 😊

Pancakes...

1. Scratch or mix? Buttermilk or plain?  Never a mix. I make my own pancakes using milk.
2. Pure and simple, or with additions cooked in?  Depends on how I feel mostly plain with flavors or certain fruits and raisins.
3. For breakfast or for dinner?  I've been known to make them for breakfast, lunch and dinner depending on my mood.
4. Preferred syrup or other topping? How about the best side dish?  Honey or Maple Syrup and if I have it I'll cook bacon with a batch.
5. Favorite pancake restaurant?  George and Son a diner I usually go to with my sister Phyllis every once in awhile.

Bonus:  Any tasty recipes out there, for pancakes or other special breakfast dishes? Bring 'em on!  Found this easy recipe online.
PLAIN JANE PANCAKES

1 1/2 c. milk
3 tbsp. melted butter
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Beat egg and milk, add butter. Toss remaining ingredients to mix, stir quickly into liquid just until flour is moistened. Preheat griddle very hot and brush with oil. Pour out amount for the size pancake you want. Brown until bubbles appear on surface; turn and brown the other side.

  3. Hi Toni! I am not a phone person either, but I think it is because of all of the telemarketers...they have ruined the phone experience for me. I do not even look anymore to see who is calling and sometimes it is my mom.
Your pancake recipe sounds wonderful! I am glad you played today! I am happy to see you. I need to make a normal update post at my blog. Josh is not doing well. Keep him in your prayers. He did just start some new medication yesterday, so hopefully he will start getting better. :( I take him to get a CT scan on Friday. They want to rule out anything with his brain..tumor, etc. I do not think that is what is causing his depression, but good to rule it out. We have parent/teacher conferences this week, so it will be crazy, so maybe next week. Loved your answers! Have a nice week!

  4. I rarely call anyone just to chat...I'm just not a phone person. There's always that one exception, like family or friends that don't live close by. Mr D and I love pancakes, we like them plain but the pumpkin pancakes at Denney's are so good!!

  5. I am not a phone caller. I don't like talking on the phone and have nothing to say. I am better at texting or talking in person.
    I did Sunday Stealing myself.
I'd love some pancakes right about now.

  6. I enjoyed your answers! I rarely get a phone call either except for telemarketers and I ignore those. Most of my calls are family and friends and I get texts. I love pancakes and always enjoy them out in a restaurant more than the ones I make. Have a great week.
